What is the Mali Initiative Leadership Program?  

The Mali Initiative Leadership Program is a 14 day immersion experience for western leaders, in Mali, West Africa. Participants will be working alongside young Malian leaders in the implementation of sustainable development projects in their communities. Living, working and interacting with the local community will act as a catalyst for creating a range of profound learning experiences for participants.   The program is an intensely personal journey that will challenge participants’ core beliefs and assumptions, question traditional approaches and stretch their comfort zone. While supporting Malian leaders in their development, their capability building and the realization of their potential, participants will be confronted with deeply thought-provoking questions about who they are as leaders, how they fulfil that role and their impact on others. They will reflect on where they place, role and leadership responsibility is in their personal and professional lives.
